Several methods developed or studied in his research are available in R packages:

• multfisher provides multiple testing procedures to compare two groups with respect to two or more binary endpoints. The procedures are optimal with respect to certain optimality criteria such as maximal power under a predefined alternative. • mmmgee provides a comprehensive set of methods to fit generalized estimating equation (GEE) models and to calculate multiple testing procedures and simultaneous confidence intervals for linear contrastst of model coefficients from multiple models fit with data from the same subjects. E.g. a separate GEE model may be fit for each of two study endpoints with repeated observations. The multiple testing procedure may be applied to test hypothesed in both models simultaneously with strict type-I-error control. Different test statistics and small sample adjustments are available. • nph is a forthcoming R package resulting from a cooperation with Merck on comparing survival distributions under non-proportional hazard assumptions. The package allows to model survival distributions in terms of piecewise constant hazards and also allows for modelling the effects of subgroups of patients with different treatment response (e.g. due to different biomarker status).
