The web implementation of the clinical prediction model for cancer-associated VTE (catscore) provides a quick and easy alternative to the nomogram calculation provided in the reference paper. Users are urged to read the disclaimer carefully. The prediction tool does not calculate whether a patient will have a venous thromboembolism or not, because this is influenced by a large variety of genetic, acquired and environmental factors, most of which are still unknown.
