Maisa Omara from the Section for Outcomes Research – CeMSIIS, has been awarded the 2021 Women in Science Promising Talent Award in the postgraduate category from the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), representing the Medical University of Vienna.
The Women in Science Promising Talent Award is an international award intended to recognize the dedication and promise of young female DDS/DMD, MS/MPH, PhD candidates as well as post-doctoral students in oral/dental/craniofacial research.
The mission of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) is to drive dental, oral, and craniofacial research for health and well-being worldwide.
Maisa Omara studied Dental and Oral Medicine in Cairo, Egypt, afterwards she obtained her Master degree in Dental Public Health. She has also accomplished the two-years Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), USA. Currently she is a PhD candidate of Public Health and a researcher at the Section for Outcomes Research – CeMSIIS.
