The Center for Medical Statistics, Informatics, and Intelligent Systems is offering statistical support in the planning of medical studies including the choice of the design, the sample size, the randomization and the statistical analysis.
At completion of the data collection we offer advice in the statistical analysis or, as needed, we will perform the statistical analysis.
The Sections for Clinical Biostatistics and Medical Statistics in a monthly rotating manner nominate an experienced statistician to support the Coordination Center for Clinical Studies in dealing with upcoming statistical problems.
The Bioinformatics Support Group consists of members from the Center for Integrative Bioinformatics, Vienna, the Section for Medical Statistics (MS) and the Section for Biomedical Computer Simulation and Bioinformatics (BSB) of CeMSIIS. It provides support for corresponding research projects at the Medical University of Vienna.
The AKIM project (Allgemeines Krankenhaus Informationsmanagementsystem – General Hospital Information Management System) has the goal to update the IT-functionalities of the General Hospital (AKH) and of the Medical University of Vienna (MUW) pertaining to patient care and research. CeMSIIS will arrange and be responsible for the implementation of the research part of the project. Further information about the IT-functionalities is provided on the AKIM homepage.
